It is okay not to offer..

Ever have a friend or better yet a family member that makes you cringe when you see them coming? This is not because of them personally,  but the black cloud that hovers over them. If you can picture the dust cloud that followed Pig Pen from the Peanuts comics, that is what the cloud is like.  Every word seems to be a barrage of negativity and complaining the sky is blue. Now imagine that this person was a part of your team out there selling your products.  Just because it is a numbers game does not mean we should not do our due diligence to ensure we don't invite toxic people into our business.

This is where network marketing,  direct sales has an advantage over other business models.  Our structure is based mainly upon invitations to be a part of the company as a customer or business partner. When an invitation to join has been extended to a prospect it is on the basis of helping that person reach their personal and financial goals as a team member.  By handling each prospect in this manner and fully vetting them before extending the offer to join your team ensures the success for the team as a whole. In doing so it also adds value to your company and the opportunity you have to offer if it is treated as a business and not just a numbers game.

Belief Big Enough ?

How big is your belief? I don’t mean what you believe in on Sunday (or Saturday depending), what I mean is how big your belief in you is?  Is your reason to get out of bed in the morning big enough to get you out a little bit earlier to get a bit more done during your day?  Do you do the things that others won’t so you can have the things that others won’t?  Do you believe that the struggles you go through now will pay you dividends in time?  Are the activities you do daily those of a successful person, or those of the person just getting by?

Many of us work our 9-5 jobs in hopes of retirement and the grandeur of being able to live on our pension and social security and enjoy our golden years. Unfortunately in this day and age this is not so much a reality for most of us, and those that realize it sooner have a chance to change our future. But it is difficult to chase down your dreams from your couch; we must act and take our future into our own hands before it passes us by. Success is about overcoming challenges. Not a single person whose name is worth remembering lived a life of ease (The Mentor).

When we work a job (Just Over Broke) and are at the mercy of a time clock and our bosses there are rare opportunities to live a life. Even those that appear to have it all live a life in silent solitude as the hours they have had to put in to get where they are at have left them with cold leftovers and many times an empty home to go home to. Rather than living someone else’s dream it is time that we capture our own, in doing so we will control our own future. One of the easiest ways to get started is to find a company that is willing to pay you well to share their product or service with your friends and family. In doing so we create residual income (passive income) you create a stream of wealth today that if built right will pay you for years to come with little effort. This is something that someone can start part-time or full-time and can be off to a great start in living their dreams in no-time. So it is up to you, do you believe in you enough to create your future and live your own dreams or would you rather live someone else’s and watch your dreams diminish. I believe in you! I will help you believe in yourself and together we can all be living our dreams and beyond!

V.I.S.I.O.N.

Vision is a word that many take for granted like we do our eyesight.  Many of us lack definitive goals and focus much less a vision of our future. It is probably not a new idea as I read about it in The Mentor but I will share it anyway, if we take a few minutes to write down on a 3X5 card our top 5 goals.  Carry this card with you always, whenever you feel discouragement and a bit beat down and ready to quit, pull out your card of inspiration.

V.alue - is your goal providing value to those that are along your path?  Whether they are your clients, customers, teammates, family or friends if you focus on providing value you all win.

I.nspired - are you leading by example and being a role model for those around? We never know how great our sphere of influence is so be sure to be a source of inspiration everywhere you go.

S.ervice - if you approach not only your business but your life as a whole as a continuous chance to serve others before you know it your goals and dreams will not only be reached but surpassed to greater heights.

I.nitiative - like anything else in life that we claim to want we gotta get off the couch and go get it. The more you invest in sweat equity now the less will be needed later.

O.ptimizing - seize your opportunities before they become someone else's success story. Stay bullseye focused on your daily activities that streamline your actions to achieving your goals.

N.ow - this really is self explanatory,  the early bird gets the worm so to speak.  If you have your goals set in place and written down now is as good as it is going to get to get started.

Please feel free to share your V.I.S.I.O.N. and therfore you obtain accountability and a partnership to help you achive your goals. As always I welcome your thoughts and comments and I am here to serve and happy to do so.

Blessings. ..

Accountable to You ?

Have you had a chance to sit down and recount your resolutions and determine where you stand as we are now a little over two solid weeks into the new year?  Have you considered and accountability partner to ensure your goals are kept and met?  It is easy for us to wish for more money, better job, lose weight, ect.. but without developing an action plan to obtain these they are just another resolution that will statistically be broken in the next few weeks if not already. When picking someone that will hold you accountable be sure that it is someone that believes in you, is on your side and truly will hold you accountable and provide regular check in opportunities.  This may mean that you go outside your comfort zone, your family and friends may not always be best suited to keep you on track.  Whether it be a work out partner, someone that has dieted or is dieting successfully or a business partner, be very selective in who you deliver your dreams to.

Opportunity a knockin..

Opportunity knocks every so often often disguised as work.  People let these chances to change their lives pass them by because they are busy treating life as a spectator sport.  We get so wrapped up in what other people are or are not doing we fail to take inventory of ourselves.  When we miss the boat and are left standing on the shore of our lives wondering what happened,  everyone else is enjoying their cruise into their future.

The choice is ours for the choosing,  rather than being skeptical or cynical when a new opportunity is posed.  If we take a moment to review with an open mind, we too might find a new path.  Many are accustomed to working their job (just over broke) that the idea of something else taking their time is ridiculous.  Yet when it comes to their payday they are the first to complain when there is more month than money left over.  That being said, when someone approaches with a new way to add to the bottom line, I don't know about you but I am at least willing to listen.

As long as the opportunity passes the acidity test, and does appear to be a shady scheme, give it the old sniff test as it could be your vehicle to your dreams.  Anyone that has worked for a company knows deep down in the corporate world all the work you do fills someone else's pockets more than yours.   What a novel idea to build a company you can call your own, where you are your own boss.  Instead of being stuck working with people you just don't care for, you have the opportunity to build your own dream team.  You get to work with like minded teammates that genuinely want you to succeed.   If you want it, there are mentors that will show you the ropes to the ladder of your success.  All for the cost of a small enrollment you can empower yourself and others to make dreams a reality rather than a fantasy.

So the next time your co-worker, friend, family member or complete stranger asks your permission to share an opportunity that has changed their life.  Before slamming the door in their face, hang up the phone or reflexively tell them 'no'.  Hear them out, go to their meeting,  attend their webinar or take the call, it could be the best decision you make today.

Sell Yourself First...

When someone begins in a new venture such a a network marketing business,  or any business for that matter, there are certain things we must keep in mind if we wish to be successful.   It is easy to get swallowed up in the idea of it is all about the numbers and the more people you share with the more money to be made. We get so wrapped up in the next sale, we begin to lose touch with the one we just made.

In any business you are in, you are in sales, you sell yourself every day as you promote your business.   When you sell someone your product or service, you have also sold them a piece of you.  You warranty your products but do you come with a warranty as well?  Do you offer your customers the value of having a relationship with you, or are you too busy to invest in those that invest in you?  If you focus on developing the relationship first, you will build trust and as Jeffrey Gitomer would say, "people don't like to be sold, but they love to buy."

So start your next sale, or discussion with your next prospect talking to them, not about you, not about your product or service,  but actually talk to them about them.  Find out their likes and dislikes,  what is their hobby, what do they do, the list goes on and on. The more time you invest in them the more likely they will invest in you.  Before you know it you not only will have a great customer,  but possibly your next team member,  maybe even a good friend.
So go out there and start investing in your human capital today..

Two weeks in ...

As we begin a new week, now week two of a new year, we have had a chance to determine if the resolutions we made are in fact the right choices for the new year. Take a moment to write down your new goals, not the grandiose goals set at the end of 2012, but the new goals for this week. If we focus on smaller chunks of time, and write them down.. let me repeat write them down, before you know it your grandiose goals are achieved goals.

So, go out there grab your goals for the week work hard .. constant action towards consistent activities are key to success.

Keeping your eye on your target, knowing where your bullseye is will help you find the path that is not only laden with dreams and expectations.  While working diligently towards your goals, in turn you will find that you accomplish more than even you intended.  If you find a vehicle that you will travel down the path to be one of personal satisfaction, health, and wealth then it makes the trip that much more enjoyable.  Also while you strive to reach your goals, you help others in reaching theirs then before you know it not only will you be a success but you will be leading a team of successful people just like you.

Blessings…

Starting the New Year reflecting. ..

This New Year has come about a bit differently than of years past.  We had the scare that the world was going to end before the New Year arrived according to the Mayans.  There was the tragedy that shook our schools to their core, that has brought about armed guards watching over our children.  Then there was the cliff that no matter how they voted,  we still will slip a bit off the edge.  Lastly we had Rockin New Years Eve without Dick Clark.

All these things made me look back  a bit on not only the last month of the year but 2012 as a whole.  We all go through changes throughout our years, whether it be a new job, new pet, a different outlook on your goals or career, whatever it may be we travel through our seasons virtually mindlessly.   They are just another day, or a bump in the road or a new exit we choose to take from life's highway.   With all the changes and the fast paced life we all lead it becomes difficult to hit the brakes and reflect.

In this new year; full of opportunity,  challenges and a nee season I have made it my personal goal, better yet my new routine to reflect with gratitude daily.  In doing so, just by taking a few minutes each day to review it's results, I take a moment to tally those moments that previously were ignored.  I challenge you to do the same this year, spend time to count your blessings,  tally your hurts and shortcomings.  In doing so you start each day refreshed and anew and have a daily gauge to create the best version of you.

Happy 2013 .. it will be your best ever!

Blessings. ..
