Chasing success into the New Year

As another year winds down, we start to look to the future and treat the New Year as a new chance to get things right. Many will make resolutions to lose weight, get healthy, stop smoking, work harder, pray more, the lists go on and on.  While there is nothing wrong with the resolutions as a whole, it tends to be better to set new goals with realistic expectations because you want to change not just because the calendar changes.

When setting your goals whether for personal health or success it is easiest to place the goals in small sectors and in writing.   When determining what your goals are to be, try setting them out of faith in yourself and your support team.  Focus on the goals being a broad reach that makes you stretch, get out of your comfort zone and most of all get out of your own way.  If you create your goals as more of a mission, one that you review every morning before your day starts as well a personal check list to review your progress at night.

I challenge each of you as you stretch yourself deep into 2013; create your goals to help not only you reach your dreams but also bring others along with you and help them obtain theirs.   If you choose to diet for example find an accountability partner that you can lose with.  If success means more money to you, set aside more as you make more to help those in need more.  If success is being able to have more time, spend more of your time sharing your talents with those in need.  Find in your heart rather than your wallet the ways you can change your 2013 and the 2013 for those of need.

When giving of yourself,  your time, talents,  as well as your money do it as part of your daily routine rather than just at the beginning of the year.  There is always a need of empathy,  mentors, providers, friends year round.  Give of yourself the more successful you will be. Make a difference and success will find you. To you and yours a successful, prosperous, healthy New Year.

Be the change others are searching for

One of the biggest misconceptions your friends,  family and complete strangers will have when you share with them that you own your own business is that you must be making a ton of money at that.  Not to say that making a fortune for not only yourself but future generations is not a real possibility but it does not come automatically without a lot of hard work.  That being said as a business owner; large or small, full time or part time, you do control to a extent how well you will do and only you can decide if or better yet when you become a success.

No better or bigger platform exist that is set up by design for you to become successful than that of network marketing.  Many people automatically assume a negative connotation with networking or direct sales and yet are currently involved in their current job in networking or direct sales they just call it something else.  Like any job or career there are companies out there that well do not do their business right.   In doing so the industry as a whole can be tarnished by a few bad apples.  But what better vehicle is there to provide the opportunity to people you know and meet in your daily life where all you bring them is good tidings and the chance to change their lives too.

Imagine yourself being known as the person that made it so your own parents could retire, or your best friend was able to open up the non-profit of their dreams because they now have enough coming in not only to live off of but also be able to fund their goals and dreams they never thought possible.  What if your neighbors no longer hurt because the product you introduced them to at your last cookout has provided them the relief they have been looking for. Or your co-worker no longer is living paycheck to paycheck because you showed them over lunch how to make a little more to have some left at the end of the month.  The opportunities to change people's lives are endless, and the best part is you can start day one, don't have to quit your day job, unless you want to of course.  All you have to do is decide you want to help others help themselves and you will be well on your way to living the life of your dreams.

Serve to sell..

The basis of any business should be that of servantude.  One would say that is not a word and don't I mean servitude?   For some people that are mastered by their JOB then that could be the case.  For those that want to be truly successful then the role of a servant should be their focus.  Making your customers' need your priority and the 'sale' a distant second.

Some look at the role of a servant to be demeaning or beneath them and yet they expect their customers to buy from them.  If you are not providing a service than how can you expect someone to buy into whatever it is you are selling ?  To take this one step further if you are not in the business to serve your customers,  someone else will.

With the servant attitude towards your business, you will learn the true meaning of having the entrepreneurial spirit.    When we take the priorities of others to heart and look for ways that we can serve their needs we in turn will develop a passion for our business.  If we focus on the building of relationships and trust, the business will come to us.  When you give of yourself you will never be broke.

Blessings. ..

Bump in the road to your success

The resounding sound of 'no' still echoes in your head.  Once again you feel the sense of rejection as you walk away from what was thought to be a hot prospect.  You start to second guess yourself.  "Am I crazy, what was I thinking? Would I even buy from me?"   Does any of this sound familar?
As someone that believes that you control your own destiny, these thoughts might creep in every once in awhile but as an entrepreneur we must push aside the little gremlin of negativity.  No matter if they were your family member or best friend that tried to stomp out your dreams.  You and only you have control of the vehicle you have chosen to reach your destination of your dreams.
Once you have a goal, or what some call your 'why' in your mind and it has become an unshakeable focal point in your business, then a simple 'no' is nothing more than one step closer to your next 'YES'.  If the reason you get up in the morning is with the intent to serve, then your goals are no longer work, they become a part of who you are.
Find your passion, the fire that gets you excited about your business.   Once you have the drive and the vehicle to reach your goals, and after you help others obtain their dreams along the way.  A little 'no' every once in awhile will be nothing but a little bump in the road to your success.   Be gracious in the rejection,  with the understanding that it is not really a no to begin with, it is just a not right now to contend with.

Blessings..

I might let you bend, but won't let you break

Every day we are bombarded with discouragement that not only gets in our way but also serves as a demotivator, interfering with our goals. Whether we woke up on the wrong sid of the bed, and no matter what we do our day is just not right. Or it could be the negativity that others thrive on spreading. Maybe it is the loss of a friend or acquaintance that has got you down and out. Whatever the source, only you can overcome and control its power over you.

In the business world personal problems are generally treated with indifference.  Your clients, suppliers, team members do not usually care,  at least not beyond a standard response of sympathy, if you are having an off day.  An off day can cost you an opportunity to share yourself and your business with others, not just today but in the future as well.  Sometimes it is better to take your off days off, rather than having to count the cost.

A little dose of daily motivation can help ward off the off days drudgery.   Whether you spend time each day reading books of positive content (which I recommend) or you simply subscribe to daily quotes or emails of inspiration, all are great ways to maintain focus and a positive attitude. Aligning yourself with outgoing team members, mentors and customers also will go a long way in not only making your daily activities to reach your goals easier,  but in turn will make the goals themselves obtainable quicker and a rewarding journey along the way.

So in synopsis, find people you admire and respect.  Earn their business whether as their customers or they are yours, whichever the case team up with those you want on your team.  Find a mentors,  even mentors have mentors so don't think you don't need one. Read.. read..read.. those that read succeed.  Finally remember just because you feel a little down and out there are those that have less but believe in more.  Keep your eyes on your goals and don't be afraid to let Him steal your show.

Blessings. .
